Refund Policy

The short version

  • 14 days after your first purchase — full refund, no questions asked.
  • Annual plans: prorated refund of unused months may be available at our discretion if you are within the first 30 days.
  • Renewals: cancel any time before the renewal date to avoid being billed. After a renewal we generally do not refund unused time.
  • All refunds go back to the original payment method via Paddle (our Merchant of Record).
  • Free Workbench and the Academic License are not paid — nothing to refund.

01Who this policy applies to

This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions to VirtuProbe Studio, provided by Jakub Stonavský, a sole trader registered in the Czech Republic (IČO: 75239337, DIČ: CZ8408034954, seat: Meduňková 601/32, 103 00 Praha 10 — Kolovraty). All paid Orders are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") acting as our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller of record, the party that charges your card, and the party that issues the refund.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. Where mandatory consumer-protection law (for example the EU Consumer Rights Directive) gives you stronger rights, those rights prevail.

0214-day refund window

If you are not satisfied with VirtuProbe Studio, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid Order. We process these requests without asking for a reason and without making you fill in a form.

EU consumers: this window matches your right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights. By starting to use a paid feature inside the application during the withdrawal period, you do not lose this right within those 14 days.

03Annual plans

Annual plans renew once per year. If you bought an annual plan and decide it is not for you:

  • Within the first 14 days: full refund.
  • Between day 15 and day 30: we may, at our discretion, offer a prorated refund of the unused months minus a small processing fee. Contact us and we will sort it out.
  • After day 30: the current annual term is non-refundable, but you can cancel auto-renewal at any time so you are not billed for the next year.

04Monthly plans

Monthly plans renew every month. We do not refund partial months once a monthly cycle has been billed, but you can cancel at any time and you keep access until the end of the paid month. The first month is covered by the 14-day refund window above.

05Adding or removing Licenses

Licenses added mid-term are prorated to your existing renewal anniversary. If you remove Licenses mid-term, the reduction takes effect at the next renewal; we do not pay back for unused time on removed Licenses during the current term.

06Enterprise contracts

Enterprise Plans are negotiated individually and may be billed by invoice rather than through Paddle. Refunds for Enterprise are governed by the specific terms of your signed agreement; the 14-day rule above does not apply by default to Enterprise.

07Free Workbench and the Academic License

The free Workbench tier and the Academic License are provided at no cost. There is nothing to refund. If you were charged for either by mistake, contact us and we will refund the charge in full.

08What we do not refund

  • Subscription periods that have already been used in full (e.g. month N once month N+1 has started).
  • Charges older than 60 days from today, unless required by mandatory consumer law.
  • Accounts terminated by us for material breach of the Terms of Service (e.g. unauthorized testing, credential sharing, fraud).
  • Taxes that have already been remitted to a tax authority where the authority does not allow Paddle to recover them.

09How to request a refund

You have two equivalent ways to request a refund — either works:

Write to us: send an email to legal@virtuprobe.studio from the email address you used for the Order. Include the Paddle Order ID (it is in your purchase receipt). You do not need to give a reason within the 14-day window.
A2
Or contact Paddle directly via the buyer helpdesk linked in your purchase receipt, or at paddle.net. Paddle will verify the Order and process the refund.
B
We confirm and instruct Paddle to refund. Refunds are issued back to the original payment method. Card refunds typically appear in 3–10 business days depending on your bank.
C
Once the refund is issued, the related license is deactivated and your access ends. Free tier rights still apply.

10Chargebacks

If something looks wrong on your statement, please contact us first — we will almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback would. Filing a chargeback before contacting us is not a substitute for this policy, and a successful chargeback will deactivate the associated license.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Changes apply to Orders placed after the change goes live; refunds for earlier Orders are handled under the policy in effect at the time of the Order.
