VirtuProbe Studio
Pricing · clear numbers, no quoting games
Two paths: Engineering for shipping integrations, Security for breaking them.
We charge for the heavy machinery. Agent access over MCP, the AI assistant, OAuth2, GraphQL, collection import and directory-backed GIT workspaces are free, forever. You can switch tier whenever you like, and nothing is deleted when you downgrade.
Build, chain and run probes against your own systems.
Build and test integrations across the protocols your stack actually speaks. The signup-flow test you have been writing in bash.
Everything Engineering has, plus the offensive kit. Hands-on pentesting across HTTP, mail, directory, and storage protocols.
For organisations whose security review starts at "where does the binary run?". It runs on your infrastructure, inside your domain, under your rules.
Don't see your protocol?
No problem, and no plugin for you to write. Every protocol in VirtuProbe is hand-rolled against its RFC, and the module ecosystem is built to grow. A protocol we don't ship yet isn't a wall. It's something we can add for you. Tell us what you need and we'll build it in.
Want to try a paid tier first?
The Free workbench is yours for good, but it only covers HTTP, DNS and SMTP. If you want to point the paid protocols, the proxy or the fuzzer at your own systems before you decide, write to hello@virtuprobe.studio and say which tier you want to evaluate. You get a key for 14 full days, no card, no call.
How licensing works
Every paid license is for one person, who can install and activate VirtuProbe on up to three of their own devices: laptop, desktop, a VM, whatever you work on. No floating seats, no per-device upsell.
Three covers most people. From my own setup I know it does not always, so if you work across more machines than that, write to hello@virtuprobe.studio and we will raise your limit.
Need to cover more people? Buy a license each. Enterprise is per organisation: unlimited users inside your domain, one invoice, one SSO config.
Frequently asked, honestly answered
Yes, anytime. If you're already on Engineering and need fuzzing or the security protocols (SMB, Kerberos, SpamAssassin) for a specific engagement, upgrade to Security for that month and downgrade back. No commitment.
Engineering is for building and testing your own integrations, whether that is APIs, email flows, LDAP-backed auth or cloud services, with the MITM proxy and service-virtualization mocks for debugging and standing in for unfinished services. Security adds the offensive kit: fuzzing, the security protocol suite (SMB, Kerberos, SpamAssassin) and the pentest libraries. Different jobs, different tools.
Yes. Write to hello@virtuprobe.studio, tell us which tier you want to evaluate, and we will issue a 14 day demo key for it. No card, and nothing to cancel when it runs out: the app drops back to the Free workbench on its own and your data stays where it is.
Yes. The VirtuProbe Academic License gives full Security tier access free, with verification (institutional .edu email, enrolment letter, or faculty page). Apply at /academic.
Your data stays. Features above your new tier become read-only until you re-upgrade. Nothing is deleted.
Yes. VirtuProbe runs as a desktop app and keeps all your data locally on your own machine, in your own jurisdiction. Nothing is stored in our cloud.
On your own machine. VirtuProbe ships as a desktop app (macOS, Linux, Windows) with everything it needs in the one install, so there is no server to stand up and no cloud round-trip. Your workspaces and data stay local.
Free / Engineering / Security: card via Paddle. Enterprise: invoice with PO, net-30 default, custom terms negotiable.
Yes. Probes and chains are local files in a documented format. Export from the app at any time, including after your license expires (Free tier permissions still apply).
Most backend devs land on Engineering within a week. Most security folks land on Security within an hour. Most CISOs land on Enterprise after one procurement call.
Save your access key, because you'll enter it in VirtuProbe alongside your email to activate your license.
Open VirtuProbe Studio, click the License item in the sidebar, enter your email and this key, then click Activate.
